OPRO Vintage Norwegian Sterling Enameled Butterfly Clip Earrings
Opro Produkter AS was founded in 1976 by Ole Petter Rasch-Olsen. Located in Oslo, Norway, the company is a small family-run business specializing in handcrafted enameled jewelry. The workshop has maintained its original setup over the past several decades, retaining a true charm and commitment to the craft. In the company's own words: "All of our jewellery is produced at the workshop, from silver plate to the finished item. Every single piece of jewellery is handcrafted, and has to go through at least 18 stages before it is ready for sale. We hope more people will learn to appreciate enamel, learn about us and this genuine ancient craft. Our goal is to have enamel jewellery come back into fashion once again, and to allow people to see that the wonderful items we craft can be trendy and timeless, and find their rightful place in high fashion." Opro Produkter AS continues producing original works, which are sold throughout Norway. Their original vintage pieces and modern designs are both adored by enamel enthusiasts alike!
These vintage earrings by Opro are a wonderful example the company's enamel work and signature style! These charming clip earrings are made of sterling silver and have a lovely and artistic design. The wings of each butterfly are adorned with a soft pink enamel surface, which is enhanced with a fine Guilloché pattern below. Two silver anntenae curve out from the top of the head, attached to the textured silver body. A secure vermeil clip rests on the back, allowing the earrings to be worn on pierced or un-pierced ears. Stamped on the back of each wing is "NORWAY STERLING OPRO." These sweet and feminine earrings are perfect for everyday wear!
Measurements: Each butterfly has a wingspan of 3/4" and measures 1/2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the Guilloché enamel design, which is free of chips or scratches. The clips rest securely and comfortably on the ear, and are in good working condition.
