Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver & Opal Ring
A beautiful opal ring from the Arts & Crafts era (ca1900)! This sterling silver ring holds a large opal cabochon at the center of a stylish bezel setting. The opal is simply mesmerizing, displaying an array of iridescent colors that flash and shimmer above the dark canvas. A variety of blue, green, violet, and golden shades are included in the color play, almost appearing to glow from within. The closed-back centerpiece rests above a smooth and simple band, completing the design. Inside the shank is a "STERLING" stamp beside a small maker's mark. A gorgeous antique ring, it is perfect for any opal lover's collection!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size of 9.75, but could be easily re-sized. The opal centerpiece measures approximately 1" tall, 3/4" wide, and rests 3/16" above the finger. The band measures 3mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or to the opal stone, which is intact and securely set.
