Victorian Mixed Metals & Diamond Repousse Locket
This mixed metals locket is a lovely piece from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 15kt rose gold, the surface features a repousse border topped in platinum. The flowing swirls and scrolls add wonderful dimension and texture to the design, framing a sparkling .10ct diamond at the center. The old Mine Cut diamond is set within a lovely etched motif, forming the center of a delicate star. When opened, the interior of the piece reveals a glass-covered space on one side, and an engine-turned pattern on the other. The back of the locket is left simple and smooth, perfect for engraving a personalized inscription or set of initials. Completing the design is a simple ring bail at the top, allowing the piece to hang from a complimentary gold or platinum chain. This gorgeous keepsake piece would make a wonderful gift or everyday locket!
Measurements: The locket hangs 1 1/8" long (including the bail), measures 7/8" in diameter, and is 1/4" thick.
