Vintage English Sterling Silver "Bamboo" Bangle Bracelet
This unusual vintage bracelet (ca1962) has a stylish "bamboo" design! Crafted in sterling silver, the bracelet is of English origin. The 3-dimensional design depicts a bamboo stalk that wraps around the wrist, forming a stacked appearance at the front. The realistic details include individual grooves, and a spiral wood grain motif where the stalk ends. At the side of the bracelet is a hidden push clasp, and a safety chain that provides additional security. Stamped within the bracelet's interior are several English hallmarks, including a Birmingham anchor, a lion, the date letter "N" (dating the piece to 1962), and the maker's initials "C.M." When worn, the bracelet could be easily stacked with other bangles for a layered look. It makes a perfect everyday accessory!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. It would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures 5/8" wide across the front, and 1/4" wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The clasp fastens securely and the safety chain is also secure and intact. There is a natural patina on the surface of the setting, which adds additional depth to the 3-dimensional design.
