Vintage Mexican Huge Sterling & Onyx Ring
This fantastic vintage ring is a Mexican-made piece from the 1960s! Crafted in sterling silver, the ring is quite substantial in size, framing a large onyx stone at the center. The onyx stone is rectangular in shape, with rounded corners and a flat, raised surface. It rests within a simple closed back setting with a beveled edge along the bezel. The bold black color of the onyx is enhanced by its smoothly polished surface, which provides a rich, glossy finish. Completing the design is a smooth band underneath, with pillar-style shoulders where the split shank meets the centerpiece. Stamped underneath the setting is "TAXCO MEXICO." A very stylish and minimalistic ring, it makes a bold statement piece that merges seamlessly into modern day fashion!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5, but could be resized if desired. The onyx centerpiece measures approximately 1 1/4" long, 7/8" wide, and rests 1/2" high. The band measures 4mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or to the onyx stone, which is securely set and free of any apparent chips or surface scratches.
