Victorian 14kt Mine Cut Diamond Ridged Locket .25ct
A lovely gold and diamond locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Beautiful in its simplicity, this lovely locket has a smooth, circular design crafted in 14kt yellow gold. A single mine cut diamond is set in the center, weighing approximately .25ct with estimated H-I range color and VS2 range clarity. A ridged border provides subtle texture to the edges of the setting, and a set of engraved monogrammed initials can be found on the back. When opened, the interior reveals two spaces to store special photographs inside behind removable frames. At the top of the locket is a gold bail, perfect for hanging the piece from a favorite chain. Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the locket or to the diamond, which is intact. The locket opens easily and snaps securely shut.
