Art Deco 18kt Mine Cut Diamond & Sapphire Engagement Ring 2.15ct
An outstanding diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Art Deco (c.1920) era! This spectacular ring features a stunning old Mine Cut diamond prong set at the center of a 18kt white gold mounting. The diamond weighs approximately 2.15ct and has M color and VS1 grade clarity. Intricate filigree wirework decorates the shoulders and sides of the setting, complete with shapely cutouts and fine milgrain detail that create a lacy appearance. Two round cut sapphires are bezel set at the front and back of the setting, adding a lovely deep blue accent! They weigh approximately 0.10ct tw combined (0.05ct each). The tapered band is stamped "18K" inside the shank. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist in April 2016 and has a stated retail replacement value of $20,000.00. The design is simply breathtaking, and would make a magnificent engagement ring for someone special!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.25, but could easily be resized. The center stone rests about 5/16" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold filigree setting. The center diamond and both sapphire accent stones are intact and securely set.
