Art Deco 14kt Rock Quartz Crystal & Diamond Filigree Teardrop Earrings
A beautiful pair of rock quartz crystal earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each earring has an elegant and feminine drop design crafted in 14kt white gold. A teardrop-shaped link dangles freely at the base, carved from rock quartz crystal. A fine filigree border surrounds the plaque, and a sparkling accent diamond is riveted into the center, resting in a box link. Carved on the back of the rock crystal is a fine starburst motif, which shows through to the front as soft rays that emerge from the center. The elongated design includes filigree links that dangle below a complimentary surmount. The fine filigree wirework has a lacy appearance, complete with shapely cutouts, floral accents, and fine delicate milgrain detail. A post and earring back are hidden behind each surmount, completing the beautiful design. The earrings dangle with lovely movement, framing the face beautifully when worn!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 5/8" long, measures 1/2" at the widest point, and is 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold filigree setting. The rock quartz crystal plaques are free of chips or surface scratches. Both diamonds are intact and securely set. The earring posts and backs are secure.
