Art Deco Austrian Sterling Onyx & Rock Quartz Crystal Bracelet
A very unusual bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful Austrian-made bangle is crafted in sterling silver, and features a decorative multi-stone design. A row of onyx stones are set within the face of the bangle, forming a continuous pattern. Each polished black onyx stone is split in the center, and divided by a faceted disc of rock quartz crystal in the middle. The onyx and rock crystal links are strung on wire, which allows the stones to spin within the hollowed spaces along the surface of the bracelet. Fine engraved details decorate the edges of the sterling setting, completing the design with a leaf-like motif. Two small plaques can be found within the interior, stamped "STERLING SILVER" and "MADE IN AUSTRIA." A stylish and versatile bangle, it would look fabulous worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets!
Measurements: The interior of the bangle has a 2 1/2" diameter, and would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The surface of the bangle is about 1/4" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting. All of the onxy stones and rock quartz crystal discs are intact, securely strung, and free of any apparent chips or scratches. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver setting, which is a normal characteristic of vintage and antique jewelry.
