A gorgeous pheasant pin from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful German-made piece is crafted in sterling silver, and boasts a colorful enameled design. The decorative brooch depicts a pheasant, complete with elongated tail feathers and a raised wing. Vibrant enamel details cover the surface displaying colors in vivid shades of yellow, blue, orange, and green. Delicate marcasite stones are hand set along the tail feathers and wing, adding a wonderful sparkle! A single garnet stone represents the eye, and two silver legs and bird feet peek out from underneath the body. The back of the piece is stamped "GERMANY STERLING SILVER" below a secure bar pin and clasp. Condition: The overall condition of the brooch is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The enameled detail is very well preserved, and free of any noticeable chips or scratches. All of the accent stones are intact and securely set. The pin clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver, which is a normal characteristic of antique and vintage jewelry.
