Art Nouveau 14kt Moonstone & Natural Seed Pearl Ring
A gorgeous moonstone ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! A beautiful oval-shaped moonstone cabochon rests at the center of the lovely 14kt gold mounting. The moonstone is bezel set and surrounded by a border of delicate natural seed pearls. A feminine leaf and flower motif graces the top of the piece, adding soft color variation with a mixed metals design. The moonstone is very clear and has a strong blue iridescent flash when turned in the light. A tapered gold band completes the design, which still retains a some of the original engraved detail on the shoulders, and is stamped "PAT.7.15.19" and "14K" inside the shank. This lovely and feminine ring is would make a wonderful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6, but could be re-sized up or down. The moonstone and seed pearl centerpiece measures 3/4" tall and 5/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting, moonstone cabochon, or to the seed pearls, which are intact. The seed pearls are strung on wire, meaning that their placement can shift slightly when worn, which is normal. The engraved detail on the shoulders is now slightly faded due to normal wear.
