Art Deco 18kt & 14kt Amethyst & Enamel Cufflinks
A fabulous pair of amethyst cabochon cufflinks from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! These striking cufflinks feature a raised amethyst cabochon that is bezel set at the center of an 18kt yellow gold disc. Surrounding the stone is an airline cutout, a royal blue enamel stripe, and a delicately engraved border. The amethyst displays a beautiful color and is smoothly polished into a raised conical shape, giving the piece a very eye-catching design! A modern gold airplane back is attached at the base of each cufflink, and is stamped "14K" on the bar. A bold and unusual pair of cufflinks, they make a unique statement when worn!
Measurements: Each round cufflink face has a 3/4" diameter, and the amethyst stone rests 3/8" above the surface.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, enamel detail, or to the amethyst cabochons, which are intact.
