Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Sapphire + Diamond Bangle Bracelet
A beautiful sapphire and diamond bracelet from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 14kt gold, the bangle-style bracelet is topped in platinum for a lovely 2-tone effect. Lining the surface of the bracelet are a mix of 9 old Mine Cut diamonds on one side and 16 Single Cut diamonds on the other, all adorned with lovely milgrain. The diamonds weigh a collective approximate weight of 1.00ctw and are patterned with sections of gorgeous blue sapphires. The sapphires are square cut and display approximately 4ctw of beautiful, deep cerulean and royal blues. A push clasp fastens the hinged bracelet at the side, and a gold safety chain offers additional security when worn. This exquisite piece could be stacked with other bracelets for a layered look and is suitable for both daily wear and special occasions. It would make a gorgeous addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 5/8" wide and 2" tall. It would fit nicely on a medium/average-sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures a little more than 1/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum-topped gold setting. The diamonds are all intact and securely set. There is some abrasion to the sapphires but it is not noticeable when worn nor does it impact the integrity of the securely set stones. The push clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition.
