Edwardian French Sterling Silver Fancy Link Chain 56"
A lovely French chain from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful necklace is comprised of fancy sterling silver links, which form a flowing chain. Elongated loops alternate with fancy filigree links, which have have an elegant twisted wirework design. At the center of the chain is a hanging spring ring clasp, which makes it possible to attach a complimentary locket or pendant if desired. The generous length of the chain allows it to slip easily on and off overhead, and it can be comfortably doubled for a stylish layered look. This versatile and beautifully made piece would make a wonderful addition to any antique collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures approximately 56" long, with the spring ring clasp hanging 1/2" long at the center. The links measure about 3/8" long each.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver links or to the spring ring clasp, which fastens securely and is in good working condition.
