A stunning engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1927) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and displays a gorgeous old European Cut diamond at the center of a flowing filigree setting. The central diamond has a total approximate weight of 0.60ct and exhibits I color and SI1 clarity. The sides and shoulders of the mounting adorn ornate wirework swirls, lacy cutouts, fine milgrain detail, and hand-engraved accents, perfect complements to the wonderful design. Eight additional diamonds, collectively weighing approximately 0.16ctw, stud the shoulders and sides, further adding to the ring's breathtaking sparkle. Found along the inside shank is a faded set of hand engraved initials next to a date which reads "EPJ to MMW....27" as well as "PLATINUM" and a "maple leaf" maker's mark. faded engraved initials The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in January of 2021, and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,500.00 This gorgeous ring creates a perfect balance of delicate and bold and would make an exquisite vintage engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7 but could be resized. When worn, the diamond centerpiece measures nearly 3/8" wide and rests approximately 1/4" above the finger. The band measures about 1mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum filigree setting. The center diamond and accent diamonds are all intact and securely set. There is evidence of a prior repair near two of the prongs, however, this does not negatively impact the integrity or beauty of the piece.
