Late Victorian 14kt Gold & Diamond Owl Crescent Earrings
A wonderful pair of owl earrings from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! Made of 14kt yellow gold, each earring is comprised of a front facing hoop that forms the shape of a crescent moon inside. Two charming owls sit perched inside the inner curve of each crescent moon, with textured detail representing feathers and sparkling diamonds for eyes. Stamped on the back of one of the owls is "14K". Very light weight and comfortable to wear, the earrings hang from simple yellow gold earring wires and have a very fun and whimsical appearance!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 1/4" long, has a 7/8" diameter, and is approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or to the diamonds, all of which are intact. Both earring wires are secure and in good condition.
