Victorian 14kt Jelly Opal Mine Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

SKU: 37702

$3,295
A beautiful jelly opal ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Resting in the center of this striking piece is a round jelly opal cabochon, which is prong set within a 14kt yellow gold mounting. Surrounding the center cabochon is a border of 14 old Mine Cut diamonds that form a sparkling halo. The jelly opal has a wonderful translucent orange color with vibrant specks of green, yellow and pink that flash in the light. All of the diamonds are suspended in a raised belcher prong setting, and a decorative engraved gold design at each shoulder completes the lovely design. A very unusual and eye-catching piece, this beautiful ring would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The jelly opal and diamond centerpiece has a 3/4" diameter and rests 1/2" above the finger when worn. The ring has a finger size of 5.75 but could easily be re-sized up or down if desired.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or the jelly opal and diamond stones, all of which are intact.
