An incredible and unique multi-gemstone slide bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning yellow gold compilation piece features eight highly decorative slide pendants gracing a beaded double-stranded chain. The gorgeous slides are formed into various shapes including a square, diamond, oval, heart and hexagon and each is embellished with a unique, 3-dimensional design on the surface. The slides display various gemstones including a sparkling diamond, opal, ruby, garnet, turquoise stones, and natural pearls and shells.

Beginning with the final slide, which contains a hidden safety clasp and latch, the piece is graced with a charming tri-tone bird and crescent motif, and a sparkling diamond rests at the center. The next slide features a swirled leaf motif embellished with yellow and green enameling that surrounds a gorgeous natural pearl riveted into the center. The third slide is embellished with a fabulous winged insect, which is decorated with ruby eyes, an opal head, delicate seed pearls that line the wings and a garnet body. Resting at the center is a gorgeous 3-leaf clover slide graced with fantastic green, yellow and orange leaves, and a sparkling accent diamond adorns the center. The other central slide features a beautiful Roman key design lined with French Cut Persian turquoise stones, which is flanked by a lovely seed pearl lined arrow motif. The sixth slide is decorated with a curved leaf motif embellished with yellow, green, and orange enameling, and a delicate natural pearl represents a budding flower. The next slide adorns a beautiful raised repousse bust of a young woman with an elaborate hair up-do and a stoic facial expression. The final slide features a magnificent cameo of a young woman in profile with incredible details hand-carved out of a shell, which is bezel-set within a beautifully etched border.

Resting in between each slide are two gold beads that move freely along the double-stranded rope chain, providing wonderful movement to the design. Stamped on the tongue of the clasp is a "14K" gold purity mark, however since this is a compilation piece, some of the slides are crafted in 12kt, 14kt, or 15kt yellow gold. A magnificent and unique bracelet, this piece would make a fabulous statement when worn alone or stacked with other accessories!

Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/4" in total length. The largest slide measures about 1/2" wide, 3/4" long, and is a little more than 1/4" thick. The smallest slide measures about 3/8" wide, 1/2" long, and 1/4" thick. The overall pennyweight of the piece is 22.4dtw (34.9 grams).

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or chain except for a very tiny hole on the side of the second slide, which is not noticeable when worn. There are no chips or cracks to any of the enameled surfaces, and all of the pearls and stones are intact and securely set. The shell cameo displays some wear near the base of the image, however it is hardly noticeable when worn due to the size of the piece. The clasp and safety latch are secure and in good working condition.
