Victorian 15kt/Sterling Turquoise + Rose Cut Diamond Teardrop Pendant
A beautiful turquoise and diamond pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This gorgeous piece is fairly substantial in size and crafted in 15kt gold topped in sterling silver. The pendant has an open teardrop shape that graduates slightly towards the center, and is lined with sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds. A large round turquoise stone swings freely through the center of the teardrop, bezel set in gold and topped with two accent diamonds. The pendant hangs from a complimentary fluted bail which adorns a final Rose Cut diamond in the center. The turquoise has a stunning vivid blue color that pairs perfectly with the enchanting diamonds and the piece looks stunning on. The pendant would make a perfect addition to any collection and would look wonderful worn everyday or for special occasions!
Measurements: The pendant hangs a little less than 1 1/2" long, is 7/8" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting or to any of the turquoise stones and diamonds, all of which are intact. The bail is secure and in good working condition. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry. This reflects the age and genuine appearance of antique diamonds.
