Victorian Dramatic Gold & Diamond Hanging Earrings
A beautiful pair of dramatic hanging earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these exquisite earrings is made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold and has a wonderful three-dimensional design. At the center of each earring is a concave gold circle with a sparkling diamond resting in the center. The diamonds weigh approximately .45ct each (.90ctw) and have I color and SI1-2 clarity. Surrounding the open circles is a twisted gold rope design, which connects to a decorative wirework topper and surmount. At the bottom of the design is a swirled gold element and dangling gold accent, completing the spectacular design. Very light and comfortable to wear, the earrings hang from clasped gold earring wires and make a gorgeous statement when worn. They display exceptional artistry and would look elegant worn day or night!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/2" long, measure 5/8" at the widest point, and are 3/16" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or diamonds, both of which are intact. The clasped wires are secure and in good condition.
