Victorian Huge 18kt Amethyst Filigree Ring
This gorgeous amethyst ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era has quite a large, dramatic look! At the center is a beautiful faceted amethyst stone, which rests in an ornate 18kt gold setting. The amethyst is bezel set and displays a magnificent, vivid purple color. Covering the sides of the mounting are beautiful swirls of leaves that form an intricate filigree pattern. The inside of the shank is stamped "750." An impressive and eye-catching ring, it makes a big statement and would look wonderful worn by a woman or man!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size of 8.25 but could possibly be re-sized. The amethyst stone measures approximately 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide. When worn, the ring rests 1/2" above the finger. The overall pennyweight of the ring is 9.3 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting or the amethyst stone.
