A fabulous onyx and camphor glass flip ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 14kt white gold, this striking piece is comprised of 2 individual faces which "flip", creating a ring that allows you to wear 2 different designs. On one side is an elongated rectangular-shaped piece of camphor glass faceted like a sunburst with a single round old mine cut diamond in the center, weighing approximately .12ctw. On the other side is a black onyx plaque which has a single sparkling diamond chip set in the center with an inlaid silver border. Both sides are bezel set within a white gold frame which is hinged at the top, allowing you to easily move and secure it within the beautiful filigree setting. The bold onyx and the feminine camphor are a perfect Art Deco combination and this unusual design is absolutely beautiful. The unique design gives the ring a bold, stylish look and the piece would compliment any ensemble!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 3 3/4 but could be easily resized. The onyx and cameo plaque both measures approximately 3/4" tall and 3/8" wide, and the ring rests 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the white gold filigree setting, and the onyx, cameo and diamonds are intact. The hinged mechanism moves easily and stays securely when clasped.
