Early Retro Austrian 14kt Mixed Metals, Aquamarine + Diamond Scroll Ring 6.5ctw Center

SKU: 45242

An unusual ring from the Early Retro (ca1935-1940) era! Crafted in 14kt gold, the ring adorns a lovely light blue Emerald Cut aquamarine stone, weighing approximately 6.5ctw, at its rose gold center. The ring's shoulders have an interesting rolled scroll design, each tethered by a white gold tie encrusted with two Rose Cut diamonds. The glinting diamond ties are surrounded by delicate milgrain, geometric bars and golden circles fill the gallery and airline, and the yellow gold split shank band completes the design. The inside of the band is stamped with an obscured "585", an indistinguishable stamp, and an Austrian horsehead hallmark indicating the ring's craft from the late 1930's Retro era. Perfect for an aquamarine lover or a scholar, this would be a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 5.75 but can easily be resized. The design measures 17/32" tall, 3/4" wide, and rests slightly more than 1/4" above the finger when worn.

Condition: The ring is in very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or the aquamarine. The diamonds are intact and securely set.
