A stunning and unique pair of gemstone earrings from the late Art Deco (circa1930) era! With a left and a right side, each of these fabulous platinum earrings forms the shaped an exotic bird, possibly a bird of paradise, with its wings outstretched to create a gorgeous elongated design. Sparkling Single Cut diamonds adorn the body and wings of the beautiful bird, each one catching the light brilliantly with every turn. A delicate ruby cabochon dots each eye, and stunning calibrated emeralds line the beautiful curled tail feathers, both adding a wonderful pop of color to the design. Fine milgrain work embellishes the entire surface of each, and two graduated old European Cut diamonds rest at the top, the larger bezel set stone acting as the topper, with a simple post and earring back (stamped "PLAT) on the back. The extended links hang slightly askew from their diamond toppers, which allows them to beautifully frame the face. Collectively, all of the diamonds weigh approximately 2.00ctw combined, creating a sparkling array as they swing with lovely movement. These extraordinary earrings would look incredible worn on special occasions!

Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long, measures about 5/8" wide and is about 1/8" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds, emeralds, and rubies are intact and securely set. The earring post and back are secure and in good working condition.
