A stunning diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This incredible piece is crafted in platinum and adorns a gorgeous 2.69ct old European Cut diamond in the center of a highly decorative setting. The prong set stone exhibits K/L color and VS clarity, sparkling beautifully with every turn. The raised mounting is graced with a diamond-lined fine filigree wirework design, which creates delicate cutouts that add a wonderful feminine touch. The design blends seamlessly into the graduated band, which is decorated with a swirled carved motif along the entire surface. Engraved on the inside of the shank is "LPF - JTF May 23, 1892-1917" written in a lovely script. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in November 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $26,500.00. Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.25 but could easily be re-sized. The centerpiece rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
