Art Deco Platinum Star Sapphire + Diamond Ring 2.50ct
A beautiful star sapphire ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This alluring ring holds a 2.50ct star sapphire cabochon at the center of a feminine platinum mounting. When turned in the light, the periwinkle blue stone reveals iridescent flashes at the center, forming the rays of star-shaped pattern, appearing as though lit from within. The iridescent quality is difficult to capture in a photograph, and is less noticeable in the images, making the star's rays the strongest when viewed in person. Surrounding the center stone is a milgrained bezel, with a filigree motif visible along the base of the stone. At either side of the centerpiece are two sparkling baguette diamonds, which rest atop the cathedral-style shoulders. Beautiful engraving travels along the entire surface of the band, completing the flowing design. Stamped inside the shank is "10% IR PLAT." An enchanting ring Art Deco, it looks very flattering when worn and would make a special addition to any gemstone collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.25, but could be resized if desired. The star sapphire centerpiece rests approximately 3/8" above the finger when worn. The band measures 2mm wide in the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The star sapphire and baguette diamonds are intact and securely set.
