LALIQUE French Art Deco Crystal Nude Woman Pendant + Tassel Necklace 30"
An incredible Lalique crystal pendant necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning piece features a round crystal plaque, which is worn as a pendant on a long green cord necklace. The crystal has the traditional Lalique frosted accents and carries the gorgeous raised design of a nude woman who is kneeling within a garden of flowers, grasping a single bouquet clasped in her outstretched hand. Dangling from a small hole at the base of the pendant, is a long green silk tassel, adding a wonderful visual effect to the design. Two holes at the top of the pendant are threaded with a matching green silk cord, which is ornately braided and accented with 8 gorgeous crystal beads. Thanks to its generous length, the necklace can easily slip on and off overhead, and the length is adjustable with the help of two knots at the back, which are decorated at each end with a lovely long match green tassel. The side of the pendant is signed "R. LALIQUE", "FIORET" and "PARIS". It's a marvelous and artistic Lalique crystal piece that would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The Lalique crystal pendant has a diameter of 1 3/8" and is 1/16" thick. The central tassel hangs 6" long below. The necklace measures approximately 30" long, but could be extended to approximately 45" long, and the tassels in the back hang approximately 4" long. Each crystal bead measures 11mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There are a few minor chips to the crystal plaque, but they are small and not noticeable when worn. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the crystal beads, or silk cord.
