A fantastic pair of banded agate earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these striking earrings feature an impressive vessel-shaped banded agate stone that hangs below a complementary surmount. The smoothly polished stones display a bold range of colors, including rich ebony banded with a stripe of creamy white that wraps around the center. Each vessel-shaped link dangles below a banded agate bead topper that perfectly compliments the larger stone. The earrings hang freely from simple 15kt yellow gold earring wires at the top and a delicate gold disc caps the base. When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully, and are comfortably lightweight. These stylish Victorian earrings merge effortlessly into modern fashion, and would make a wonderful everyday accessory!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 1/2" in total length (including the wires at the top), and measure a little under 1/2" wide and thick. The agate beads measure about 6mm in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting. The wires are intact and in good working condition. One of the agate beads features a tiny scratch to the surface, which is not noticeable when worn due to the size and color of the bead.
