Victorian 15kt Enamel Locket w/ Raised Lady's Face Motif
A gorgeous heart-shaped locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning 15kt gold locket features a raised motif of a Victorian lady's face. Her beautiful face is a rosy pink color of enamel and has detailed hand painted features. Her long flowing hair is graced with a gold tiara/headband which has 5 small diamonds set within it. The locket is detailed with black enameled paisley shapes and lilac flowers which surround the face. The back bears the inscription "FRANCES" in fancy Victorian script. The locket hangs from a gold enhancer that is set with 3 diamonds and hangs from a simple, modern gold chain that is stamped "14KT". A simply stunning Victorian locket that would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket measures approximately 1 1/4" tall and 1" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is great. All of the diamonds are intact and the enameling is in good condition. There are a few minor chips in the enameled paisleys and flowers that surround the face. There are also some minor dings on the back of the locket, which is not uncommon for a Victorian locket.
