Victorian 18kt Hinged Etruscan Bangle Bracelet
A gorgeous gold bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold, this wide hinged bangle has a fine Etruscan wirework design that borders the top and bottom edges, carrying around both sides of the piece. A soft floral motif can be found near both the hinge and the clasp, along with fine twisted wirework stem and leaf accents. The bracelet clasps on the side and has a safety chain for added security. Beautifully engraved along the inside of the piece are initials, "K.W.M" along with the date, "December 22d 1879". Additionally, the opposite side of the interior of the bracelet has the stamp "PAT'D FEB 1879". This gorgeous piece would fit nicely on an average size wrist and looks simply stunning when worn. A beautiful Victorian piece, it would look wonderful worn alone or paired with other complimentary bracelets!
Measurement: The surface of the bracelet measures slightly less than 1" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold bracelet or to the raised Etruscan details. The clasp and safety chain are snug and secure, and the hinge is in good working condition.
