Victorian 18kt Petite Diamond Nail Pendant 0.10ctw
A wonderful diamond pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This lovely piece was most likely worn as an antique stick pin, and has since been converted into a delicate pendant for modern day wear. Crafted in 18kt rose gold, the pendant depicts a small horseshoe nail which is uniquely bent with its pointed tip overlapping atop the head. The nail has an open center and 3-dimensional appearance and features two sparkling diamonds. One, an old Mine Cut, is prong set in a carved starburst motif at the head, and the other, a Full Cut stone, is bezel set atop the curved blade, the two stones collectively weighing approximately 0.10ctw. A gold bail attaches at the top, perfect for hanging the piece from a favorite chain. A beautiful conversion piece, this pendant would make a lovely addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 3/4" long, is 5/16" wide and 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and both diamonds are intact.
