Victorian Russian 14kt Rose Cut Diamond + Turquoise Navette Ring
An exquisite turquoise and diamond navette ring from the Victorian (ca1847-1898) era! This gorgeous Russian made ring is crafted in 14kt rose gold and adorns a stunning and unique navette style centerpiece. Incredible old Rose Cut diamonds adorn the front, forming a beautiful pavé surface and resting at the center is a stunning turquoise cabochon, exhibiting a fantastic sky blue hue, providing a perfect contrast to the sparkling diamonds. Completing the design is a smoothly polished band that wraps around the back where it is stamped with a Russian double-element mark "56," indicating its gold purity, and the Moscow town mark, indicating where it was assayed during the years 1847-1898. A fabulous Victorian piece, this outstanding ring blends seamlessly into modern fashion and would look wonderful worn day or night!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6, but could easily be re-sized. The navette-shaped centerpiece measures approximately 5/8" tall and 3/8" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of diamonds and the turquoise stone are intact and securely set. Due to the hand cut nature of old Rose Cut diamonds, the shape of the stones do not have perfect symmetry.
