Victorian Sterling Silver Amethyst Link Riviera Necklace 17"
A wonderful amethyst necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This elegant piece is formed by a row of graduated amethyst stones, each resting in a sterling silver frame. The sparkling stones exhibit soft purple hues, with facets that catch the light beautifully at every turn. The necklace fastens with a spring ring clasp at the back, stamped with a "925" silver purity mark. The smoothly polished silver and the regal purple color looks stunning paired together, as the necklace drapes beautifully at the neckline. A spectacular piece, it would look beautiful worn day or night!
Measurements: The necklace measures 17" long. The largest amethyst stone measures slightly less than 3/4" wide, 1/2" tall, and is 3/8" thick. The smallest stones measure slightly less than 1/2" wide, a little more than 1/4" wide, and are 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or to the amethyst stones, all of which are intact. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
